James is our newest and youngest artist, but he found his niche at Inside Out very quickly. He is quick to give everyone a nickname, and to engage in verbal games and friendly discussion about his strong opinions. James is self-educated in the art of masks, particularly those connected to the horror genre, so, following his lead, we will be exploring the use of plaster, latex, and other materials at Inside Out.
Inside Out has been in existence for a little over a year, and we are amazed by how far we have come! We now host up to 15 working artists, and are always working to bring in new participants as well as to improve the experience of those who are already part of our special community. Thanks to a generous grant from the Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities, we have been able to add a wall of functional and beautiful open shelving, ensuring easy access to all materials for our artists, and have also enhanced our range of supplies to include a wide range of painting, drawing, and sculptural materials.
